Daspletosaurus was a large theropod dinosaur related to Tyrannosaurus that lived in the Late Cretaceous period, about 85-75 million years ago.
In Primeval: A New Beginning[]
Daspletosaurus appears in the series premiere of Primeval: A New Beginning. It eats a racecar driver that plunges into its home anomaly, and it later comes through into the present day, where it kills a 15-year-old boy and an adult female Hadrosaurus that came through the same anomaly. It also attacks a playground, nearly killing a group of small children. The team manages to tranquilize it and drive it back through the anomaly, but it closes immediately after the dinosaur passes through.
Daspletosaurus has been confirmed to re-appear in episode 2.7.
